About Malva

History of over 150 years. A growing and evolving ecological restoration project since acquisition by the family of the current owner’s family in 1983. Organic farming being practiced since year 2000, by the take-over of the second generation. The certified organic land has been increased to120 acers by 2016. Embodies an ecosytem with rich fauna and flora. Houses over a great variety of over 7,000 trees. Oasis for local and natural edible plants as well as cultivated medicinal and aromatic herbs.

Life at Malva

Life at Malva goes along in an ecosystem. All life is preserved and enhanced with ecological practices in respect for all living beings. This enables the presence and observation for a great variety of established and mgrating insects, birds and mammals. White storks choosing to overnight at the farmland during their migration route and fireflies hibernating and breeding at the grounds are good indicators of this. Life here, is borne to everyday miracles.

Organic Botanic Garden

At Malva, we are committed to ecologically restoring farmland and providing a livable ecosystem for all members. As a new member of BGCI (Botanic Gardens Conservation International),we aim to address social issues; specifically disconnection from nature and science education.

WWOOF

WWOOF links volunteers with organic farmers and growers, thereby helping to build a sustainable, global community. A WWOOFer would live alongside the host helping with daily tasks and experiencing life as a farmer.

Volunteering at Malva

For local or foreigner visitors, we would like you to contact us through the relevant local and international volunteering organizations. Season is from April through October. Tasks: greenhouse and outdoor agriculture, seedling transfer, permaculture farming, weeding, chicken and geese care.

Varieties of tomato; pepper; eggplant; greens; medicinal and aromatic herb seedlings.
